After the death of her son in custody, Christine Dungay founded Dunghutti Youth, a community organisation with the goal of educating and empowering indigenous Australians in the Macleay Valley.

The mantis is a potent spiritual totem among the Dunghutti people and so served as an obvious choice to represent the organisation visually. This paired with a palette which took inspiration from the earth tones of the Australian landscape gave the design system an undeniably modern look that lost none of its indigenous heritage.
